Today we’re discussing my spice drawer organization. Why would I want to organize my spice drawer?
Did anyone else binge watch The Home Edit on Netflix? Every episode makes me want to clean and organize my home.
And one of the projects I wanted complete is to organize my spices. They are all in different shaped and sized bottles, which makes organizing it a nightmare. I now love opening up my spice drawer to see a well organized space.
Spice Drawer Organization – What I Purchased
I picked out the 24 glass bottle containers with stainless steel lids on Amazon. This set came with reusable labels, but I decided to buy these spice labels on Etsy.
I am impressed with the quality of these spice jars. The glass is thick and the lids fit nicely. Each jar comes with a plastic cap with holes so you can sprinkle. The plastic cups do fit snugly and I have to use a knife to remove lift the cap somewhat so I can remove it with my fingers when they need to be refilled.
The silicone funnel makes filling jars easy–dried herbs do stick to it, so it needs to be wiped down. If you love and organized space or are looking for a small and impactful step towards purging, buy these bottles.
The only thing I didn’t realize when I made the change to glass bottles, is that I don’t know the expiration date. But I found these stickers on Amazon that you can write the expiration date on.
Another item that you might like is have this drawer liner in place before converting a drawer into a spice drawer. It helps keep the spice racks in place, instead of shifting and sliding around the drawer.
